Dear Emily and Steve,
I received my “Brandings” DVD a few days ago – I watched it once and am on my 2nd view.
Peaceful is how I felt watching the DVD. The cowboys seemed very calm, the horses reflected the same calmness – and so did the cattle. I love the respect of the job and the often mentioned correct and caring use of their horses. Giving the young horses a nice day, not pounding them into the ground. Whoever hears that anymore? And not stressing the cattle, often time belonging to someone else, but able to get the job done efficiently and in good time.
The soundtrack puts you right in the middle of work. Perfect.
When I need to relax, I’ll be watching “Branding” – well worth the wait.
