For years I have been just using a wall knot to tie my hondas on but if any one could point in the right direction or maybe a better knot that would be cool thanks Jay

Hi
Try a "Matthew Walker" knot, or if really ambitious you can use a crowned Double Wall........The Walker is muuuuch easier!

Wow mp thanks for that tip the matthew walker is basicly the wall knot like i have used in the past but it requires one more step to make it finished and i like the finish of the matthew walker better than the wall.

Yup, you bet. I have also seen a Turkshead used, but I am darned if I can figure that one out. It fits better in a rawhide hondo that is kind of narrow at the base so the hondo swivels better.
I used to spend a lot of time mountaineering so knots come pretty easy, but that one.............Sheesh!
