Made it!!!

Hey Guyses! It's me Exy. Just letting you know that I made it to the DR safe and sound. It's amazingly warm here. We're going to the hotel tomorrow. So I won't have email access if I have it at all....but I'll be playing with horses and galloping on the beach. I'm going to miss my EH buddies. One of the first things I did was check the EH site to see if hte BB was up. And it is!!! So happy. Hope everything is having a great time and avoiding that crazy weather. Ride on!

Hey everyone!!!!! I'm still alive! I think something seriously is wrong with my genes. I think as I get older I become more and more Caucasian! When I was "young" I used to go out in the sun, 20 minutes later I'm a dark brown, changing races in a matter of seconds. Well not so much anymore! I at first couldn't get a tan at all. Then next thing I know I'm not brown but bright red! I'm still very sunburnt but at the days go by I am browning out thank gawd!

I had a terrific time and a wonderful Birthday. When I get home I'll have to post some pictures. As some of you know I have a pet project down here of helping educate local people about horse care. I also bring down tack and other necesities. Well it was great this year. The people were so happy to receive the stuff that so many people had donated this year. I rode three days on some pretty great horses. I went to three different beaches one of which is voted as one of the top 10 beaches of the world by National Geographic. Definitely had a blast galloping in the surf and going on some pretty treacherous trails!!!

My birthday is probably one of the most memorable that I ever have had. I never really did much for my birthday after I turned 16. This time we went to Playa Rincon - a two hour grueling trail ride. I'll post pictures. It is the most beautiful beach and it is wonderful for swimming and riding a like. We made it safe and sound. My horse got a cut on his fetlock but it wasn't too bad. We then swam for about an hour. Then they served us LOBSTER and other food just 10ft away from the water right on the beach!!! It was amazing. We had three lobster lunhes that came to $20 american!!! Lol.

Then we came back on horseback and I met up with my father. Then we went to our room. Apparently we couldn't get in with our card and our porch door was locked. So my sister decides to climb through the bathroom window. She wasn't tall enough and I thought I was too fat but I managed to "break in" to our room. Low an behold it is all decorated to the max with flowers! On the floor it has "happy birthday johanna" written in flowers so I would see it righ twhen I got in. There were fancy creatuers made of towels with flowers all over the place. It was absolutely amazing (got pics!). Then we were reading and there was a knock at the door and they gave me even MORE flowers with a nice little card. It seroiusly was so nice.

Then it was dinner time. My dad came by and picked us up and we went to the fancy restaraunt. We couldn't see a table set up for us at the restaraunt but then they (all the manager staff!!) took us to table especially set up out on the beach. It had candles and flowers all over it and then music playing. They served us 3 appetizers and 3 different entrees and a birthday cake. It was really great. Then we went to bed.

It seroiusly has been one of the best birthdays ever. I'm excited to get back home though and chat with y'all and visit my horsey!!! Hope all is well....

so, like, what, ya got a problem with red? lol..you just be glad you are not a red head, throw in the blue eyed deal, and there is no hope for a tan...I like to think darker objects appear smaller, so I always hope for a nice ecru color...and that is as tan as I get...so count your many blessings.

We are glad you are having fun. We are not glad you are a world traveler, and we are glad you are on your way home to us..

Sounds like you did have a great birthday ..but Red and I are still gunna sing when you get home.. Kat can do the chorus and Blue can play the piany ..Miss you!!

Thanks Reata! Lol. When I visited my grandmother I found out the NEATEST thing about my great-grandfather....something all of you will find totally awesome. But alas, I'll wait until we're all in the room to break the news. =)

Anyway its 2:15am here. I just got in. Time for me to go to bed!
