maybe you read this, before, but it is a good one:
From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, it's just a horse," or,"man that's alot time, and money", for "just a horse". They don't understand the cost or distances traveled, are not just measured in dollars, or miles, for "just a horse".
Some of my proudest moments, have come about with "just a horse".
Many hours have passed, and my only company was, "just a horse". I did not once feel slighted. And, some of my saddest mments have been brought about by "just a horse". In days of darkness the gentle touch of "just a horse" gave me comfort and reason to overcome. If you, too, think it is "just a horse"..then you will prolly understand the phrases like "just a friend", "just a sunrise", "just a kiss", "just a promise". "Just a horse", brings into my life, the essence of friendship, trust, and joy. "Just a horse", brings compassion, and patience, that make me a better person..and because of "just a horse", I get up early, take long walks, and look to the future. For me, and folks like me it is not "just a horse", but all of the hopes and dreams for the future, the fond memories, of the past, and the joy of the moment. "Just a horse", brings out what's good in me, diverts my thoughts from myself, and the worries of the day.
"Just a horse" is the thing that shows me humanity, and keeps me from being "just a woman".
Next time I hear that phrase, "well, it's just a horse", I will just smile. Because they "Just" don't understand..
