You guys who are interested in advancing you horsemanship skills especially in a reining/working cow horse direction should consider Lyle Frederickson. His website is triplefranch.com. He is just a down-home, good horseman. He is very patient and his wife and children are super nice.
I saw what he did with my horse's half brother (a two year old stud at the time) in just one month. He went from a pushy, overconfident youngster to a patient, gentle, trusting partner in just 60 days! All of his horses are just so happy and content (so are his dogs).
I just watched a clinic two summers ago and learned a lot. He does a lot with building trust in the horse in a round pen and then teaches you a lot about how to teach the horse basic body maneuvers to very advanced stuff. He will help you teach your horse to just be a better horse and you a better horseman.
I am not sure what his clinic schedule is like this year but I do know he does a lot of clinics that are on weekends and evenings.
