Equine De-sensitizing Clinic
The Collin County Extension Horse Committee will be hosting an “Equine De-sensitizing Clinic” on Saturday, April 14, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Brinkmann Ranch in Frisco (10630 FM 720). Frisco is north of Dallas, Texas. The clinic will be presented by John Wiltsie (McKinney Mounted Police Department Trainer) and he will be assisted by other members of the McKinney Mounted Police Department.
You may bring your horse to the clinic at a cost of $50 per participant which will be limited to the first 30 call in participants or you may choose to just watch the presentation at a cost of $10 per spectator. If you are one of the 30 participating on horseback, you must have a current Coggins test and be EVA clear or if recently vaccinated, you should have proof of 30 day isolation.
You can RSVP by calling the Collin County Extension office at (972) 548-4233 on or before Thursday, April 12. You can pay the registration fee at the Extension office before the clinic or at the door on the day of the clinic. Checks will be accepted made payable to Collin Ag Support Fund.
Directions to Brinkman Ranch:
Approaching Frisco, TX from the North: Take HWY 289 south, turn left on FM 720, go approximately 1 mile, Brinkman Ranch entrance will be on the left (North).
Approaching Frisco, TX from the South: Take HWY 289 north, turn right on FM 720, go approximately 1 mile, Brinkman Ranch entrance will be on the left (North).
