I do know that most of the people here are out west, but I thought I'd see if anyone here knows of any vaquero/californio horsemanship in the eastern NY area. I recently got accepted to a graduate program out there and will be moving myself and my horse out there. I went to high school in this area and know that it is very heavily concentrated with horses. Usually mostly cross country and jumping, but it has a lot of horses. I'll be living in Westchester County and keeping Speedy in Dutchess County. My trainer mentioned that there was a lady who used to go to Willowbrook a lot - Doreen Johnson - that lived on Long Island. Anyway, I'm just curious if anyone knows of anyone who is in that area.
