It is my true nature to bring peace to this world.
To nurture my spirit and develop my gifts
To embrace my virtue and act with honor in my daily life
To develop a love for all humanity and extend compassion
To be courageous when others may not have the strength
To be forgiving when others may not have the courtesy
To be thankful for all the opportunities in my life
To know that the true source of peace is in my heart
To know that if peace is to be it is up to me…

Seems like alot of these things we apply to our daily lives and in the way that we choose to work with the horses. Any thoughts?

If you request urgency, you may get more than you ask.
If you request calmness, you may get more than you ask.

" Its my true nature to bring peace to the world"
I love that first line!
The world is full of human ego and our true nature is harder and harder to find.
I almost am more at peace with being a student of finding the "True Nature" of the horse than being a student of the human with the same goal.
The message that you left is realy beautiful and almost necessary to spread!
Nuture Vertue
Embrace Spirit
Develope Love
Exstend Compation
Courage and Strength
Thankful
Sorce Peace
Heart
Its up to me
Its totaly about relationship with self, others even the horse!

Thank you! What I like is that it's full of "try". :) I especially love the part where it says "To develop a love for all humanity" It's not always easy to love the people around us, especially in the times that we are in. I find every time i read/watch the news, etc... I need to foster and develop that love all over again.
And yes I do love it. I found it on a website for the Tibetan Children's Village and I got the same feeling... this was a message that needed to be shared. I'm very glad that you enjoyed it. Thank you. it means a lot. If you are interested more in the TCV - visit: http://www.tcv.org.in/index.shtml. They are truly a community to be honored and respected for their mission.
What's interesting for me in relation to the horse - is how easy it all flows. There's so much more struggle with human to human relationships b/c of our own egos I guess. But with the horse - if you can let go of all that human struggle it all just flows. That's at least what I'm learning... to develop, nuture, embrace, and just be.
I also like this one:
"The period of greatest gain in knowledge and experience is the most difficult period in one's life. Through a difficult period you can develop inner strength, determination and courage to face the problems." - H.H. the Dalai Lama
What I love about this board is the community. That we talk about working towards something better. That the horses help us be become better people. They offer a mirror that reflects our "true nature". And sometimes it's not as pretty as we would like and we need to do more searching, and this community is there to help support, develop, embrace and nurture. In life and on this board, we meet people that help us become better people. And that's something to truly be grateful for.
